Building community through music
At Dan & Day’s, we’ve always believed that great food brings people together. But we wanted to create something that would have an even greater impact on our community.
That's why we founded Uptown Sound, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing free live music, supporting local artists and businesses, and creating events that connect neighbors and celebrate everything that makes Montclair special.
From our Summer Stage concert series to our annual Uptown Sound Music Festival, every event is made possible by volunteers, local businesses, sponsors, and community members who believe in our mission. We'd love for you to be part of it. Visit the Uptown Sound website to learn more about our story, upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and ways you can help us continue building something special for our community.

We’re already looking ahead to next summer and would love to connect with local musicians, businesses, sponsors, and volunteers who want to help us bring free live music to our community!
Our Summer Stage Series takes place on the front lawn of St. James Church, bringing our community together to enjoy live music, support local businesses, and celebrate the incredible talent in our area.
